Import and export data¶
o‑o provides a o-o cp command that easily imports files from your
local computer to a configured datastore, making them available as run inputs.
In addition, o-o cp can export your run outputs back to your local computer.
Importing files¶
To import a local file, for example import.txt, use the o-o cp command
Importing data looks like a regular o‑o run with a run message
We can inspect this copy run, with o-o show. The imported file is shown as an
output and stored in your datastore, just as if it was generated by a run.
$ o-o show fojaopi1t5 --outputs
Run fojaopi1t5ep1d1gheqsgja8e918buykoa91yqzeja8yr

Command: cp import.txt o://output/
importing data
Output files:
import.txt
And this output can now be used just like any other output as run input
Exporting files¶
Any run output is easily exported using the same o-o cp command. For instance,
if we have a run that generates an output file, export.txt
$ o-o run --message "generate data" -- 'echo "Exported data" > o://output/export.txt'
$ o-o run --list
